21 imagesTherapeutic in nature, this series began the night I buried my father. After the funeral, the family gathered at my sister's house. Many of us turned to the backyard pool to relax and unwind from an emotional day. Water is the source of life. It has the power to sustain, comfort and heal. These ghostlike figures represent the spirit. Although the body may perish, I believe the spirit continues within the next generation. My goal was to capture that spirit, and bear witness to the healing power of water.

21 imagesAll That Remains is a series that explores the empty backroads of small town America. I seek to document the “leftovers” in these communities, and uncover the faded beauty of the abandoned structures found there. Composed in a straightforward method, these “portraits” strive to capture the character from a life once lived. If these buildings could talk, what stories would they tell? These ordinary relics connect the past with the present, and echo my belief that there is something beautiful in each of us.

21 imagesOh, to be free! To really live life to its fullest. Dogs spend much of their time confined to fenced yards, crates and leashes. When given the chance to be free, they embrace the opportunity with the fullest level of action. Playful, carefree, and full of reckless abandon. I admire and envy their high level of energy. My images seek to capture the expressive spirit of each animal through gesture and motion. I'm less concerned about what a dog looks like, and far more interested in showcasing the essence of that unabated joy.
